ALMERÍA

Founded in 955 AD by Abderramán III in a location previously dominated by other cities such as the Ibera Urcitano or the Roman Portus Magnus and played a fundamental role during the Caliphate of Córdoba, becoming the most important port in Umayyad al-Andalus.

LA ALCAZABA

One of the most important Andalusian monumental and archaeological sites in the Iberian Peninsula. 

EL ZAPILLO

Until the urban development of the 1960s, the neighborhood was a very simple fishermen's neighborhood with few houses where they lived, many of them the work of local architects Guillermo Langle Rubio and Antonio Góngora Galera.

EL CABLE INGLES

Also known as El Alquife dock, it is a mineral loading dock that was in use from 1904 to 1970. Declared a site of cultural interest for being a clear example of iron architecture in Andalusia.
